Dionysus was quiet, still. He watched the world change, grow and his focus had changed drastically. For hours he stood staring at the empty void that he had silently been calling home, a place he had stumbled upon recently and the scent of the old leader had began to fade with each passing wind and his eyes traveled over each area slowly to see if the former king was still lingering in the shadow; there was nothing. He walked slowly, calmly through the open land, drinking it all in and of course seeing if any of the old kings herd still walked around the lands freely. Dionysus was never one to challenge anyone or give into any conflict, with himself or otherwise but his time of hiding out in the small thicket he had called 'home' for months, had to come to an end sometime. He had never ruled but it didn't seem like a difficult task. Bring home members, give them the attention they desired ( non-physical ) and provide a safe haven to those who needed it. Of course he had the false title hanging over his head, glowing dimly. Dionysus often wandered what would have happened if he was allowed to remain within the herd his father ruled. If Hera wasn't around and his mother had taken the spot by Zeus's side. Would he really be put in the position to be the young prince that he was born to be? Perhaps. But he often saw his dreams end in flames, a dramatic turn of events and he feared his ability to actually give and not take from others.
His icy blue eyes closed slowly and he halted his steps, taking in a deep breath of the warm summer air and sighing heavily. His eyes opened and glanced up at the stone walls that hovered in the distance. He would prepare himself, put the title to the test and attempt his chance at ruling others or pretend if anything. "I hereby claim these lands for my own." He bellowed, letting his voice be carried with the coming winds. Dionysus would learn, in good time, he would learn...
