Nightmares had plagued her of late, painting her senses thin, as she attempted to distract herself from the troubling dreams. Constantly images formed in her mind, of mangled, melted hides that no longer held the visions of familiar loved ones. She always tried to breathing calmly and thinking on other things, but it was hard for the onyx mare to wipe the visions from her mind's eye. Her tail drew silkily against her flank, tossed lightly with the malformed affection she held for those that crossed her mind.
Inhaling, she breathed in the tasty scent of the tufts of green grasses that flourished over the lands. She wanted nothing more than to dip her head and devour them. That, however, would probably not be smart. She couldn't very well eat grass that belonged to someone else. For a moment her eyes were cast over the land, seeking someone or something to tell her it was alright. Hunger curled in the pit of her stomach, her lips smacking in anticipation as she dipped her skull toward the bladed and ripped the finely shaped blades to their roots. Taste swirled on her tongue, as she chewed the greens and swallowed them hungrily down her throat. Her mouth watered, enjoying what she hadn't been able to enjoy in a very long time. Her heart pattered, realizing that any lead who happened on her could accuse her of thieving, and be exactly right. Her muscles shifted along her spine, her eyes watching around her cautiously.
Stepping forward once, she reached for new tufts of grass and expelled a nervous breath through her nostrils. Her ears were tipped forward, swiveling from side to side as she strained to listen for noises alerting her to another equine presence. She was almost like a deer, ready to dash away is she would need to. Her muscles were tensed, as she systematically ripped the blades, chewed them and swallowed them. It was a guilty pleasure, she had to admit. She was starving and homeless, and the finest grasses were always in the herd-lands.

Varnish appaloosa looks moved around, Grass being pulled from the ground. The grass here was so sweet and delicious. He had never had anything like it before. Well, that was partially true. His golden eyes moved over the grasses not catching sight of anyone really. His thoughts trailing over his last few days, He had stole a mare of beauty just the other day. Gwendolyn, was her name. Her black features, appaloosa blanket and badger face intrigued him. But it was a start for his herd. He would breed her and then he will have two members of his herd.
But of course he was on the prowl for more mares for his herd, So that maybe soon he will have the biggest and most prospering herd in all of Illyria. That made the cold brute smile. He wanted the biggest herd of the year. Or next year maybe.
Edwin's stomach filled with plenty of food and he moved on to different parts of Rayo. The tree's surrounded him and he suddenly could smell more than maple, pine, and cedar. The smell of a mare on his lands. His ears pulled foreward and his muscled legs pulled him on to the scent, over the colorful leaved ground. He saw the fae, She was black, with a small star on her forehead. She was thin and obviously hungry. It saddened Edwin a bit. But he wanted to get this mare claimed before she ran away. He quietly backed up and moved around her in the tree's so that he blocked her way out. Then he approached the black fairy.
"You know, Your not part of this land... Maybe I should make you leave, for your theft." He said softly, his voice soft and gentle. Yet it had an ice cold edge to it. "But maybe I wont if you agree to become one of my mares~ His lyrics reaching her harks, and his appaloosa body relaxed the muscles slacking as he watched the mare
