That was what it felt like being here with out him, with out his smiling face, his deep, warm green eyes. The rose he'd tuck into her mane for her to hold onto, oh his precious rose. She remembered every little detail, every secret moment spent beneath those willow limbs. Every whispered promise of a better tomorrow, every soft eyed look, ever affectionate touch. It was imprinted with in her mind, like a constant reminder of what she had, and then lost when those humans had attack her home, their home. When they had came in, rampaged and sought out what they could find. Oh the times they had, the wonderful moments shared. They had so many plans, so many ideas to help other lost souls, help heal others just as they had healed one another . . . . and now . . . He's gone.
She shook her head, trying to shake the thought free from her mind as she trotted forward, looking around, feeling like she had been going in circles since she foolishly allowed herself to think about Calico, something that happened often if she thought about the grulla stallion of her past. She'd get lost in the memories and by the time she woke up to reality she would be hopelessly lost. She couldn't even begin to tell you about how she managed to get to this land, she was literally so lost in thought about everything that had happened that she ended up here and had no idea where she was, or how she had gotten there. Which apparently had happened again. She frowned, tilting her head as she looked around the dark place she was in, trying to figure out when it became so dark. Judging by the light a little ways off she must have accidentally wandered into some sort of tunnel or something, it was the only likely solution. With a faint frown, she began to walk on, choosing to figure out where this tunnel would lead.
Her hooves echoed off the rocky floor, and she wondered how she'd not heard that before, though, really, she hadn't noticed when the world became dark, so . . . . it wasn't that surprising she'd not noticed it. She moved forward slowly, her blue body moving forward, white forelock falling in soft curls down the side of her face, half covering on eye. Slowly the light in the distance began to grow brighter ahead of her, and she picked up her pace, hooves clipping a brighter rhythm, the brightness she clung to, urging her forward until she suddenly slammed to a halt as she burst into the light, and frowned looking around, before seeing a forest ahead of her. Confused at what tucked away land she'd found she started towards the forest, before freezing as she caught a scent. The scent of a stallion. Her tail twitched as she looked around, brown eyes watching the land, more cautious now. Was this a claiming ground, or was it a stallion's herd lands. Hesitantly, she placed one foot in front of the other as she continued forward, into the forest.
Light dappled her roaned pelt, appearing and disappearing in patches as it filtered through the leafy canopy. Her black face, dark against the brightness of her forelock, turned this way and that, ears perked and alert as she listened to everything around her. Keeping an eye, and ear open for anyone that might be out, that might not be the best sort of company for a lone mare, for indeed she was alone. Only the barest hint of Calico's scent remained on her pelt, almost faded with her time away, the last bit that was her mate disappearing with each former day. The urge to find him came again, to find him, press her face into his mane, breath in his scent and let it ground her as it so often did. He's gone. It was something she was forced to remind herself of often, that her mate was gone, that there was no way to get him back. They'd been forced to end their relationship before they could barely get it started, and oh how she missed his company already. She shook her head violently as she continued forward, dark limbs moving with sure, easy steps, her body moving with the natural sway of a female, her tail flicking softly, grazing the back of her legs as it tumbled in light, delicate curls.
She slowed her walk as she found herself passing a tree that she was certain she'd seen a few times before, and suddenly frowned, looking around and seeing the prints of hooves in the ground. Fresh ones. She pressed her hoof down next to it, so a copy of the first, small delicate print and sighed. She was going in circles. She'd walked with out getting too lost while thinking about Calico, but now, here, with her mind clear, she'd gotten lost in a forest. A forest that may, or may not serve as herd lands for some herd. She shook her head, frowning, "Where am I?" 877 | ever complete here you go sugar, hopefully you'll be able to get something out of this. i kinda left it open ended in the end so you could have him come in how ever you'd like and just kinda go with it sorta thing, so yeah. here ya are <3 |

The massive black stallion stood hidden in the cool shadows of the cave that he had claimed as his own little hiding spot from the rest of the herd. Ebony harks flicked back and forth restlessly upon his broad crown, as did his skunk striped tail, there wasn’t much bothering the stallion that he would share with anyone so this was his way of coping. Hiding himself away from the world and sitting on the edge of falling off of the crazy cliff, but he hadn’t quite lost it yet, his sanity would forever remain in his brain cavity. It would just go temporarily missing from time to time, nothing that any other horse didn’t go through. Some even on a more constant basis than others really. Soft white lids drooped low over the icy blue windows to the stallion’s soul, or at least they should be if Sampson hadn’t fixed the window panes to be foggy and shattered so nobody could see what was inside. Today his windows would show pain and him feeling like he had betrayed someone, that someone would be the white mare who’s carcass laid now covered in the soft white snow that she loved so much, just a week’s travel outside of Illyria. A shaky sigh slid between the stallion’s rosy velvets at the thought of her soft spring green eyes and the chiming sound that was her laugh. It was gone now and he would never, ever hear it again. But at least she was now and forever jumping through snow drifts and never having to worry about a yolk being placed around her neck. Sampson had always pushed harder when pulling the cart so his precious mate wouldn’t have to carry any weight on her shoulders, even when she begged him to give her some of the weight he would just ignore her and keep going. That’s what he was there for, protecting her and keeping her safe from anything that made her uncomfortable or may have put her in any kind of pain. Shaking his massive crown the stallion’s thoughts drifted to the lands that he was now the King of. He had finally found a mare or two to come reside in his humble abode, but something just wasn’t quite right in his tortured mind. She would never be here to share in the joy of having a home, a place to call their own that wasn’t overrun by the two legs who had once taken care of the couple. The piano man’s pelt shuddered as if flies had landed on it, when there was none to be seen in his resting spot inside the cool cavern. Twitching his two toned tail the stallion blinked his icy pools before forcing his ivory dipped limbs forward and out of the darkness of his cavern. The brightness of the outside world caused the stallion’s pools to squint shut tightly before he dared to open them again and once again expose them to the brightness of the world. A gentle spring breeze drifted through the lands of Rayo bringing along a strange perfume and the sound of someone’s lyrics. Just too wind played to be able to be understood by the large stallion’s harks. Snorting the stallion’s icy pools lit up dangerously as he thought over the possibilities for the poor mare who had seemingly wandered into his wonderful home. Shame for her, she wouldn’t be leaving any time soon. Turning his massive frame in the direction that the wind had come from the piano man set out at a quick trot. His long trunk-like limbs taking up the ground and showing no mercy as clots of dirt and grass flew from his dinner plate sized hooves. It didn’t take long for the strange perfume to become nearly overwhelming to the large stallion and before long the blue bodice of the white tressed mare filled the emotionless windows. Thoughts of what he could do to her pretty bodice flickered in his mind but his vocals gave away nothing of the dangerous thoughts that danced. ”Rayo.”
|
[/b] His deep baritones rang out into the silence as he stepped out of the shadows and allowed his icy eyes to ravage her bodice before bringing them up to her brown ones, the rest of her stood out from other mares so nicely…and then there were her eyes, so average. But the touch of averageness didn’t stop the dangerous thoughts from flickering through his thoughts, this mare has stepped into the lion’s den that was for sure, and today Loki wasn’t here to save her from the King. Loki wasn’t here to talk his King down from the high that would come from the wonderful feeling that is having someone tremble at your touch. And not in the loving way. ”I am Sampson, who are you?” He questioned before allowing his icy pools to drift away from her muddy ones and back to her cerulean bodice, not really caring to much what her name was, more so caring if she would put up too much of a fight or not. Her ears perked, brown eyes watchful as she moved. The area smelled of stallion, a claimed land, and it made her nervous. She knew how some stallions were about trespassers, even those of the female kind, and instantly her mind went back to Calico. He'd always been so welcoming. Stallions, mares, foals, they were all welcomed equally. If they needed shelter for a night, he lead them to their best stream and pasture. If they needed a hom to heal, they'd stay as long as they liked. And when she needed him, he never failed to step up and be the stallion she need him to be for her. She smiled sadly, shaking her head lightly, what would his thoughts be if he saw her now, wandering in some unknown land. He'd probably be at her side, ready to defend her. He was always ready to defend her. Her gaze lowered slightly, as she fought back a tear, hating how she was know thinking of him in past tense, her heart breaking at that. He was still alive somewhere, she had to believe in that, she had to trust that he was alive and well. That some day he'd come back for her, she had to . . . and yet, she couldn't, not any more. It'd been so long. He always found her so quickly, and she'd stayed in this place for so long so far. He would have found her if he could have gone to search. And yet she was still alone, "I miss you." She whispered softly, glancing up at the sky, willing the words to some how magically reach the knight of her dreams. The grullo with a smile that could brighten the darkest cavern. Oh yes, how she missed him, and it was times like this, when she was reminded of what they were, that she really thought about how hard it was to be with out him.
She sighed, shaking her head to dislodge the thoughts, his memories, before freezing when a very masculine voice called out in answer to her question of where she was, as she stopped to looking around. Jumping, she turned slightly, looking at the stallion as he came out of the shadows. Rayo he'd said, naming the land. And she frowned, pelt twitching nervously as she noticed the leering glance before he'd finally met her gaze. He gave his name, Sampson, before asking for hers, though he was quick to study her form once again, and her eyes narrowed, her head tilting up, "Caelum." She said in a quiet, but even voice, showing she wasn't to be affected, or made fearful by his leering, "I take it, this is your domain I've stumbled upon?" She asked, keeping her voice neutral, shifting her steps sliding from the sunlight piercing her pelt through the canopy, easing the growing hot spots of her body, as she watched the stallion, waiting for his response and she tossed her head enough for her forelock to move so that she could watch him with out her face being hidden, keeping her cool as she often did when she and Calico were up against possible members with their own issues or anger problems that could be considered a threat to the rest of the world. She was used to dealing with unruly sorts. She ruled over a herd that accepted all kinds of stragglers with all kinds of problems. And tis stallion, Sampson, he was not going to scare her. She might not have Calico, her dearest, beloved Calico; for protection, but she could handle herself, surely. 652 | ever complete this is definitely going to be interesting, I cannot wait to see what happens between these two, especially because Caelum is the sort to try and keep peace rather then approve of any violence. But yeah, so, this will be fun <33 |

Sampson I'd die for her, and she lives for me. [/b][/div]
”I miss you” The cerulean fae’s hardly audible lyrics drifted on the gentle spring breeze to just barely reach the pricked ebony harks of the massive stallion. Thoughts began trickling through the stallion’s mind, slowly at first but then quicker as the gears in his brain cavity began to turn faster and faster, trying to figure out just what or who it was that the cerulean mare was missing. Not so he could comfort her in anyway, but so he could act like she was going to be comforted until he got what he wanted from her. Be it a foal, or just simply submission. Long, two toned whipcord lashed against his white flecked sides, chasing off the few flies off and sending them flying back into the sky. The spring was treating the lands of Rayo nicely and come this autumn there would be a few foals running about on their spindly legs. Most of the young creatures would have been from his Beta though, Sampson was never big on spreading as much seed as he could as he would much rather have one and be perfectly happy with her then have a million and still feel just as empty inside as he did now. With the two mares he had covered over the current duration of spring neither of them felt right and their impregnation was simply from the duty of being the King of a land. What kind of a King would he be if none of the offspring that pranced about the fields were not his, but his Beta’s? Icy pools focused back in on the silvery mare as her lyrics pierced his thoughts. "Caelum." Her name was a pretty one, and seemed to fit the fae herself, strong but pretty at the same time. An odd combination for what Sampson had seen around the lands of Illyria lately, but he wouldn’t complain too much it was another head to add to his count when it came to herd sizing. "I take it, this is your domain I've stumbled upon?" Her vocals stayed strong and steady as she sashayed out of the pillars of light that had been dancing upon her cerulean coat for as long as she had been standing there. ”Caelum.” The piano man’s deep lyrics fell from his rosy velvets as his icy pools locked in on the fae’s dark ones once more. Something told Sampson that this wouldn’t be the blue fae’s first time in a herd, and that she had carried some sort of power before..but he only believed that because of the intense way that she was able to keep her cool in situations that mares who hadn’t carried some sort of responsibility would have caved already. A cool ghost of a smile turned the corners of the stallion’s rosy velvets up as the baritones fell from his vocal chords once more. ”Yes, Rayo belongs to me.” Sampson lashed his two toned tail once more before leaning back slightly on his ivory dipped limbs. ”How did you find it?” The large stallion bit back the lacing of curiosity that would have flowed out with the questioning. He was really surprised that someone just happened upon Rayo, normally a hole in a Cliffside was something that was left alone and unexplored. To the point that if he was bringing someone back to the herd he had to escort them himself before he could go back out again. Probably the only downfall that he could find of his wonderful hidden haven.

She lightly shook her cranium, her black facade turning faintly blacker as she sighed before forcing herself to perk up. it never good to focus on the past, even a past that was filled with her dearest companion, Calico. that was just that, the past, and she couldn't keep living in the depths of it's tragedy. She flipped back her white mane, the threads quickly falling back into order on the left side of her nape, the ends twirling lightly as they tickled her shoulders. of course, this solitude of thinking quietly didn't last long, not when another came upon her a stallion at this time. Large, feathering coating his hooves, his size far larger then hers. His eyes were focused on her as she replied to him with her name, the latin flowing smoothly of a tongue that had once spoken it as freely as she spoke the common language of today, rather then the ancient language of yesterdays. She kept her voice calm, steady as she spoke again, in comment towards the lands she took to be the stallions, watching him as he repeated her name first, it sounding slightly different in his deep vocals, as his blue eyes locked onto hers, and she, in turn, met his gaze willingly, a ghost of a smile turning up the corners of his muzzle, as he spoke this time agreeing to the land being his. Just as she'd thought. Her gaze drifted through the area for a moment, it is a lovely land, though i wonder if it is all cool forest, or if there is more past this mass of trees and foliage. |
[/color] she wondered to herself, before bringing her thoughts to life. " Is the land all dense forest, such as this part, or are there other hidden treasures deeper with in?" Her vocals were carefully polite, as well as brimming with friendly curiosity, " What I've seen thus far makes for a beautiful land. You are blessed to have such a bountiful land to call your own." She said, her tone light, as her gaze danced around briefly before focusing on him once more, as he asked how she'd found it, curiosity in the questioning. This time a blush fell across her features, as she dropped his gaze, embarrassment coloring her dark brown eyes, making them a bit lighter as she shifted, " As much as I'd like to give you an answer, I cannot." She said slowly, briefly looking up at him, " I was lost in thought during my travels, my feet carrying me. I didn't realize I was in the tunnel leading to this area until I was already half way through," She admitted, her vocals showing an almost shy embarrassment at admitting it. The thoughts of her beloved had led her to a new land though and she wondered if it was a sign, " I assume, by your question, it's not an easy land to find, then?" Probably not if it took her getting lost in thoughts and walking through a tunnel to get here, " Well protected, and beautiful. It's as if your land is hidden from time itself, not just the outside world." She paused then, her eyes glancing up at him, " May I have a tour?" She asked next, ears perked curiously, falling silent now as she waited for his response.[/div] 632 | sampson ever complete it was good, hopefully mine's alright. struggled a bit with what to have her say, but figured this would work. give her a tour, and she'll probably ask to stay, whether then have to have him claim her! lol. Sampson I'd die for her, and she lives for me. [/b][/div] If anyone asked, Sampson would probably bite their heads off and then pummel their carcass beneath his dinner plate sized hooves, but it was true he was in no way possible over the snow white mare that had graced his life with such peace and happiness. His thoughts shifted away from the cerulean mare and back to the angelic white coat and soft spring green eyes, she had been the epitome of perfection and no one would ever be able to hold a candle to her. Of course, one of these days the piano man would take on a new Queen, who would be his mate. But that one wouldn’t be able to have the part of his ice cold heart that the angel owned. Not even if all she did was produce good strong colts, no, nobody would ever compare to his first love. Some thought him to be foolish for his fairy tale like thoughts but they were no longer walking on the terrain, they were prancing among the clouds alongside the beautiful angel. That or they were slaving away the rest of their life in the coal mines of hell. Shaking his broad cranium the stallion’s icy pools focused back in on the brown one’s of the cerulean mare. Her pools though, weren’t looking upon him; they were staring off into the distance as if trying to figure something out. But then her smoky velvets opened and her delicate lyrics fell from them. "Is the land all dense forest, such as this part, or are there other hidden treasures deeper with in?" Sampson turned his broad crown to look over his shoulder, back to where he had walked out of to find this mare. ”That path leads you out of the forest and into the more open parts of the land.” As he turned his crown back to face the cerulean mare his harks caught her next string of lyrics. "What I've seen thus far makes for a beautiful land. You are blessed to have such a bountiful land to call your own." Dipping his ivory splashed crown the stallion forced a smile upon his face before he lifted his cranium once more. ”Thank you, I am pleased others then myself find this place stunning.” Rayo had been exactly what he had been looking for, solitude, beauty, peace, and even more so quite. There was a nice cave that the stallion had claimed as his own, unless there was some sort of disaster in which he would willingly share his shelter to keep his herd members alive and well. His thoughts began to drift off once more, this time thinking about how wonderful the land was and how well the herd seemed to be doing. "I was lost in thought during my travels, my feet carrying me. I didn't realize I was in the tunnel leading to this area until I was already half way through," her soft vocals distracted him from his thoughts as she answered the question that Sampson had almost forgot about asking. ”I assume, by your question, it's not an easy land to find, then?" A short nod and then the stallion opened his rosy maw to answer the mare’s question. ”It is not an easy place to find. Matter of fact, many who decide to reside here have to be escorted back to the lands.” He decided it better not to mention the fact that some are not exactly willing..but that was besides the point. "Well protected, and beautiful. It's as if your land is hidden from time itself, not just the outside world. May I have a tour?" Her last question left her with a hopeful expression across her features and Sampson thought for a few seconds, maybe she would see the lands and find them beautiful enough to keep her attention for a long while. He knew that Loki would disapprove of his forcing her to stay here if she didn’t, but trespassing was something that needed to be punished, even if it meant being a prisoner in a herd. Blinking his ivory lids slowly over icy pools the stallion flicked his two toned tail, ”A tour?” He hesitated slightly, unsure as to how he felt about showing off a hidden land to a mare that would be stuck here none the less. ”Sure.” He flicked his crown over his shoulder, showing her which way to go. ”This way.”
