{ 26 / 07 / 2012 }Hey guys! As you have noticed there has been a few slight site changes in the past day. The boards are rearranged slightly to give a more realistic feel to the lands. Now you know which lands are closer to each other and which lands will be slightly warmer then others:3. We have also added
animal companions which can be bought at the shop for some pretty cheap prices! Go have a look and get your character a forever friend! There has also been some staff changes that will be announced within the next few days.
I would also like to announce that we have a thread up for
OTM Nominations! Find this in the
Inbox, remember to get the form filled out by Sunday the
29th and then keep an eye out for the polls to be up. There is soon to be an
advertising contest so keep your eyes peeled for that as well!
Remember it is Spring time and that means it is time for some breeding, and time to get your mares that were bred in Autumn to have their foals now or they will be considered stillborn!

Also, it has come to our attention that people are using advertisements to gain referrals. Masque and I have discussed this, and we have decided to allow this to continue - providing the members making those adverts are following the rules of the sites they're posting on. We will be checking!

Again, please do not claim land unless you are capable of being extremely active. Herd lands are the lifeblood of Illyria, so we need them to stay strong.
Also, don't forget to
claim your silver if you referred someone to Illyria and their first character application was approved -- it's $300 per person until the 16th! You can do so by replying to this thread:

Kinu is up for claim! First to make an IC post on the Kinu board will get it, but PLEASE make sure you have enough spare time to keep your land owning stallion active. We really hate it when we have to take land from inactive players. Thankfully Archer was nice enough to spare us from that horrible task this time by voluntarily giving up the land when life became too hectic - thank you Archer! <3
Sadly this means that we will not be adding a new herd land, as mentioned by our lovely co-admin, Masque. However, once Kinu has a new King I will definitely consider the idea, especially if the high level of activity level continues. If you're interested in having a stallion of yours own land, and are active enough to warrant it, then please send me a PM and let me know. The more PM's I get, the more chance of a new herd land being added. ^_^
As for the new Mingle board, I am still eager to add one if the lovely members of Illy can bring in enough new recruits. So far we only have 1 out of the 4 new referrals needed by next monday (16th) -- so go forth and spread word of Illy!

And yes, I have returned for now. I want to say a BIG thank you to Masque for running the place while I was gone - I really don't deserve such an amazing co-admin. <3. Also want to thank my other staffies, as well as the members of Illy. You all make this place a pleasure to return to, and I really appreciate your maturity and activity. It's great to know that Illy is in such safe hands when life gets in the way. I may be forced to leave again in the future, as the hubby is still without work soon and we need to move house, but I will be on as often as possible until that day comes. ^_^

The season has officially changed! It is now autumn, so all foals created in spring can now be born. Make sure you get their births posted before the end of autumn, or they will be considered dead.
The land of Enth is now up for claim! Before claiming the land, however, please make sure you are capable of being extremely active. All land owning stallions MUST be posted a minimum of every 4 days. This is to ensure the lands remain active, as they are the lifeblood of the site.

I'm looking forward to working with her more and maintaining the site! That said, we are taking application for a new Moderator to add to the staff! We're well into summer by now, and have just over a week left before the season changes! Remember that all pregnant mares need to foal next season, or they will be deemed a still birth when Winter comes! Activity is up, but remember we're holding an Advertising Contest! We have raised the prize amounts, so don't miss out on it!

Also, are you all aware of the
bookmark feature that proboards forums have? It is the easiest way to keep track of all the threads you're in. To use it, simply hit the "add bookmark" link found at the bottom left of each thread. Do that for all the threads you want to keep track of, and then when you go to
profile > bookmarks (beside the "modify profile" link) they will all be listed, and you can check at a glance which ones are ready to be replied to.

In other news, it appears our Mod, Henley, is having computer issues and is unable to continue in the staff position. Therefore, we will be keeping an eye out for new Mod material. If you are interested in the position please send me a quick PM letting me know, so Masque and I can keep an eye on you.

referral system, which is a great way to earn more silver. You can read all about it

{ 06 / 02 / 2012 }Welcome to our new Co-Admin - Masque!
Masque has been our Co-Admin in training since the beginning, and has been learning at a fantastic pace. She is now being thrust into the driver's seat very suddenly, as I (Moth) have some severe personal issues that I need to take care of and will be away for a day or two. So make sure you are all well behaved and treat her with the respect and kindness she deserves! She's an amazing person and is doing me a huge favour, and I know she'll do an excellent job while I'm away.
In other news, there has been a slight change to one of the rules. It's in bold and white, under the LANDS section, so make sure you all check it out!
And to finish up, I want to say a HUGE thank you to all those that have joined and have remained active. You're all brilliant members, and I hope you'll stay with us for a long, long time.

Masque -- an epic writer and a good friend of mine.
Henley -- a complete stranger who kindly offered to take Illyria off my hands and get it going again.
Both of these people gave me the motivation I needed to get this place going again, and I cannot thank them enough for that. Hopefully they'll be with us for a long time.
