Name: Anabelle
Gender: Female
Age: Five
Breed: Arabian x Thorougbred x Morgan x Appaloosa
Height: 15.2 hhs
Colour: Pearl Champagne w/ Appaloosa Blanket
Coat Genetics: Ee/aa/prlprl/Chch/LPlp/PATN2PATN2
Eyes: Purple (originally blue, but do to a birth defect, the blood vessels in her eyes popped, over time the red moved into her iris, turning them a purple/pink color) --- is going blind as a cause, will be fully blind by age 7.
Personality: Anabelle is a very shy creature that likes to take everything with a step forward. She's very bright, and loves to have fun and play games; especially once she's warmed up to you. She's got a large heart, and she does wear her heart on her sleeve. She's easy to trust, and easy to manipulate, and unfortunately she has a hard time seeing through lies and masquerades. She cannot tell a lie, no matter how hard she tries, she simply seems no reason to. She's very shy about the fact she's going blind, though currently all she can make out now is vague splotches of colors and shapes.
History: Anabelle was born to a wanderer type mare, who saw no purpose in herds, so a large part of Anabelle's life, she didn't get to spend much time with others, leaving her very lost in the world. Her mother however did not last long during this 'herdless' life. Anabelle was barely seven months old when her mother passed away, defending her against a wild cat. A stallion who had seen the attack, and witnessed the death of her mother quickly finished off the cat, before herding the young child home.
Until was then that Anabelle learned the life of a herd member. She was taken in by an elderly mare who helped her learn her way around the herd. Unfortunately, this was also the time Anabelle first noticed her sight disappearing. When she questioned the elder mare about it near her second birthday (at this time she had lost 1/18th her sight) the mare was saddened and explained to the young filly what was happening, and it was then the mare began to show the filly how to use her other senses better.
Anabelle grew older, gaining more knowledge from this old mare, soon able to tell birds apart by their caws, tell which plants were poisonous by their scent, and how to locate water just by listening for the slightest babble. Anabelle was four and a half when the elder mare died, and she sought out the lead stallion, following his scent to him, asking for permission to leave the herd. After explaining that she needed to find her own way, learn more about how to handle her growing loss of sight the lead allowed, but only after making her aware that she always had a home in the herd should she wish to come back. Thanking him graciously she left, starting off on her own.
