Coinin had been growing fast, but had kept his little spunky personality, for which Belladonna was highly grateful for. She sighed slightly, watching as the young colt twitched in his sleep, dreaming. Lately, the foal had been having nightmares usually of his fear. It pained Belladonna to a great degree that she couldn't do anything about it, except comfort him when he woke up. She was tired, but the twitching colt curled up next to her was worrying her, therefore keeping her eyes open.
Just as her eyes slid shut she was startled awake by Coinin jumping up, scared. "Shhhh...easy baby...it's alright honey.." she whispered in soothing tones to her son. She was happy that Kazimer was a sound sleeper, and that he was able to sleep in his own cavern. Coinin looked to his mother, fear evident in his eyes. "M-mommy, i-i-it was about d-daddy." When Belladonna heard that she pulled him closer, continuously reassuring him that his father was fine.
Coinin wiggled out of his mothers grip, scrambling to his father's cavern, sliding to a stop near his father. He had to make sure he was okay. "Coinin! Belladonna called in a rushed whisper, trotting after her foal, stopping at the door way of Aed's cavern. The young colt was trembling with fear as he looked down to his dad. He reached his muzzle down, nuzzling his father's cheek, a tear slipping down his face, hitting the stallion's cheek. "Daddy?" he asked in a whimpered voice, not wanting his favorite daddy to be dead.
Belladonna watched nervously, he would hate for Aedan to be mad, especially since Coinin would be waking him up. She made sure to stay outside his cavern, not knowing how he'd react if she was in there. She took a deep breath, watching how her son was so concerned about his father being alive, and the nightmare not being real.

His limbs were tucked close to his lean, muscled frame, his massive size seeming dwarfed in his cavern-like room, as he slept. He didn't get much of his peaceful sleep before the soft pitter-patter of tiny hooves roused him slightly. Only one being on his terrain had hooves that small, and they belonged to his son. He heard his son enter his room, moving towards him, before nuzzling his cheek, and instantly the stallion's eyes opened at the feel of wetness . . . his son was crying? Daddy?
Áedán's head lifted up, seeing the obvious fear on his son's face, and wondered momentarily if it had anything to do with the nightmares he knew his son had been having as of late (which concerned him greatly . . . especially if it had been the result of some unknown virus taking affect -- like the land needed another of those). He didn't say anything immediately, instead, nudging his son down, to lay next to him, lightly rubbing his cheek against Coinin's, "Hey now, what's wrong? And don't say 'nothing' . . . I know my boy, and he ain't a crier usually. |
" He said with a soothing tone, running his muzzle over his son's face to wipe the tears away, before glancing up to see Belladonna hovering outside his cavern, as if not certain if she should even be this close. He whickered to her, " Belladonna, come here . . ." He called, keeping his voice that low soothing tone to try and help his son relax, get over the last of the fears, the concern. " You should know by now I rarely bite with out reason." He added, his tone faintly disapproving at the way she was holding back from him. She should also know he'd do anything for Coinin by now as well, and so he was relieved she hadn't attempted (or at least been successful) to stop their son from coming. He lowered his muzzle back down, grooming gently along Coinin's side, letting the colt lean on him as he nuzzle the young boy again. What ever had alarmed his son had clearly been serious. And it worried him. As protective of his foal he was, he did not like seeing him alarmed. Words[/div]

Relief flushed the foal's eyes as his father woke up and nudged him. Coinin sighed, laying down next to his father, fear still causing his body to tremble. He was still trying to calm down enough to speak, glad his father decided to call out to his mother. Belladonna sighed, watching the scene unfold. Her ears pricked forward, hearing Aedan whicker for her to come into his cavern. She slowly walked forward, stopping when she got to the stallion and their son. "It was a nightmare.." the bay mare said to the stallion about their small colt snuggling up to the side of his father. She was about to speak again but Coinin's voice hit the air.
"It was about you daddy. You were d-dead and I h-had to come in and check on you." Coinin's small voice said. He was extremely smart, and it was evident by how much he had been talking already. His body was still trembling, but not as much as it had been when he had scrambled into his father's cavern. "I'm sorry for waking you up daddy. I can leave if you want" he said, being respectful of his father and his father's rest.
Belladonna kept a watchful eye on her son, the exhaustion starting to become evident in her eyes. She had hardly been getting sleep because she was up, trying to keep Coinin sleeping soundly, as well as deal with whatever Kazimer needed. Belladonna was straining to keep herself standing and not just laying down and falling asleep in Aedan's cavern. Her weary eyes looked into Aedan's eyes, trying to hide just how tired and exhausted she really was. She knew that she had no reason to apologize for Coinin running and waking up his father. Aedan did anything to do with his son, especially protect and comfort him.

What had his son so relieved just to see him wake up. He gently nudged the foal, encouraging him to lay down, feeling the tremors in his son's form. He glanced up at the mare outside his cavern, calling for her, and watching as she slowly walked towards them, stopping in front of them, It was a nightmare. He nodded, looking down at the colt cuddling up against him. It was about you daddy. You were d-dead and I h-had to come in and check on you. Instantly Áedán was shushing his son, gently nuzzling him softly.
"Hey, hush Coinin. I'm fine, see. It's okay, just calm down, alright. I'm here. I'm not dead, and I'm not going anywhere. |
" He said softly, before hugging him close, before watching the colt suddenly state, I'm sorry for waking you up daddy. I can leave if you want. Áed instantly shook his head, tugging his son even closer before glancing up at the mother of his child, his eyes seeing the weariness, the exhaustion that she tried to hit, " No, you and your mother can sleep here tonight. You two look to exhausted to move back again. Come now then, let's get back to bed. Bella, come join us . . . ." His gaze softened as he looked at the female, offering a smile, " Please?" Coinin slowly started to relax, hearing his father say that he was right there and that he was fine. The tired colt yawned slightly, curling up to his father, shutting his eyes, trying to fall asleep. Belladonna thought of Aed's offer. She was certainly exhausted and did not want to move more than she had to at this point. Belladonna laid down next to Coinin, looking over to Aedan. "Thank you" she said softly, holding back a yawn as she made herself comfortable. She smiled softly, looking at Coinin who was already sleeping.
She sighed, looking around the cavern before looking back to Aed. She was way too tired to the point to where she couldn't even get herself to sleep. She took a deep breath, trying to relax herself but sadly, her muscles were as tense as ever and the tightness of them probably wouldn't be disappearing anytime soon. Not unless someone knew how to help her relax her muscles and fall to sleep.
