Night had long ago fallen, turning the warmth of the summer day to the icy grips of winter as the degree with in the mist filled forest dropped exponitionally. She quivered with each step, her tail switching in an effect to put a bit more warmth created by the movement of muscles. She did not like this, not even a little. It didn't help that she was unaware of the direction she was heading in, and now that she was with in this forest, she honestly felt blind. Only able to see the blurred outline of shapes, and the vague mixing of colors to see where things and equine where . . . the monochromatic colors of this land were not the best for her. In fact, the greys, blacks, and whites were merging into one smooth plane. Only the soft sound of wind through the leaves of a tree, or a bush was keeping her from running into things. But, beyond that, she was terrified of the dark. The way it truly made her feel blind, trapped in a world that made everything so dark she wasn't able to see anyone or anything. She flinched at a sudden loud caw, making out the pinpoint of bright yellow eyes, and in that next instant she had taken off, running through the mist of the forest, barely avoiding running into trees, fear and alarm spurring her on faster as loud caws and cries seemed to come around from everywhere. Tears where pinpricks in her amethyst eyes as she pushed on before suddenly running into a large black mass she hadn't been able to see. Rebounding off the much large object she lay curled on the ground, trembling, eyes wide and unseeing.
